A brilliant way to spend the weekend with climbing, gorge walking and mountain walking during the days and restaurants bars and nightclubs in the evenings!

The activities are designed to suit a range of abilities so don't worry if you've never tried climbing before. All specialist equipment is provided, however we will send out a recommended clothing list when you book. 'This weekend is ideal for singles and couples, a great way to make new friends.'

Cardiff is approximately two and a half hours by train or car from London , or around one and a half hours from Bristol or Birmingham.

This price is based on a twin occupancy. If you're booking on your own we will automatically allocate you someone to share with. Single rooms are available at an extra cost.

Friday night

2pm onwards - check into Royal Hotel Cardiff
7.30pm – Drinks reception and weekend introduction
8pm - 2 course meal at the Royal Hotel, Cardiff
10pm onwards- Entrance to Club, Cardiff

Saturday morning

9am Breakfast at the hotel
10am Transport from the hotel to the day's activities by coach
Choose from 'gorge walking' and 'rock climbing & abseiling'
2pm Barbecue lunch (steak, salmon or vegetarian)
4pm Transport back to the hotel by coach

Saturday Evening

7pm Entrance to Jongleurs comedy club
Meal at Jongleurs
10.30-11pm Entrance to nightclub following comedy, finishing at 2am

Sunday morning

9am Breakfast at hotel
10am Transport to activities
Countryside walk
Sunday Pub lunch
3pm Transport back to the hotel

This boutique style hotel lies in the heart of Wales' capital city. An urban retreat with 64 bedrooms, some with the most spectacular views over Cardiff city or the Millennium Stadium where you can expect to languish in 100% Egyptian percale cotton bed-linen laid on pocket sprung beds.

Activities:

Gorge Scrambling

Gorge Scrambling - Trek through rivers, climb over boulders, and dive off waterfalls. Gorge Walking involves you climbing, walking, swimming and jumping off waterfalls into pools. It is excellent for people of all ages and abilities.

We are proud of our reputation of excellent safety standards, we look after everyone by ensuring that every one that goes in the gorge wears a B.A. (buoyancy aid) and a helmet, these are provided by us.

Rock Climbing - We have excellent climbing sites with qualified instructors that can take you through beginner or advanced packages.

This activity will challenge your fear of heights whilst you scale a rock face attached to a rope, climbing as high as you can before being lowered down by an instructor or a friend.

With this activity, you can do as little or as much as you want to.

Hill / Mountain Walk –Your walk will be through the beautiful Welsh countryside. Experince the spectacular scenery and take in woodland, open hillside and great views across the Taff Valley. Perfect for working up an appetite for your traditional Sunday Pub Lunch!
