Jewish Quarter
The old ghetto does not exist anymore. However,
fascinating, tragic, and bizarre stories can still be heard. Synagogues
and the Jewish Town Hall are placed around an Old Cemetery to create
the most well preserved Jewish monuments in all of Europe. The Jews
were among the first settlers and contibuted to the colorful history
of Prague. You will learn about many traditions and events such as
the blood pogroms, the Nazi holocaust, Rabi Löw with his legendary
Golem, and the Jewish writer Frank Kafka, his acclaimed works, life,
and loves. Our last stop is in a classic Prague cafe for refreshments.
